DUTIESMajor duties will involve general maintenance repairs to boilers, soot blowers, drums, tubes, ash and coal handling equipment, pulverizers, ducts and breeching, tanks, air preheaters, coal bunkers, burners, heaters, evaporators, etc.
Will be required as necessary to travel to other plants for emergency work or scheduled major maintenance work. A portion of time is required for making inspections of equipment.
QUALIFICATIONSThis position requires some independent responsibility in determining the condition of boiler equipment as related to over stressing materials subjected to pressure and temperature. He must be capable of performing duties in such a manner as to meet the approval of supervisors. Must have been actively engaged in or responsible for similar work for a period of four or more years. No educational requirements.
SUPERVISIONRECEIVED
Under the direct supervision of the Boilermaker Foreman and the general supervision of the General Maintenance Foreman and/or the Power Plant Maintenance Supervisor (Mechanical).
SUPERVISION OVER OTHERSWill supervise the work of one or more helpers or apprentices.
