Industrial Cleaning Crew Leader – Action Environmental

Job summary:

This position is responsible for overseeing the crew and equipment on a plant or project site, ensuring work is completed safely and to the customer’s standards. Ideal candidate has 3‑10 years of experience in industrial cleaning or project remediation and prior supervisory experience.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain safety standards and requirements at all times for the entire crew under supervision.
  • Perform, operate, and supervise others in tasks such as hydro blasting, chemical cleaning, vacuum truck operation, and tank cleaning.
  • Operate high‑pressure water blast equipment to clean heavy industrial equipment (pipe, boilers, tanks, heat exchangers, bundles, etc.).
  • Work in diverse environments such as confined spaces, various heights, storage tanks, and diverse project sites.
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions (extreme heat, cold, dry, or wet environments).
  • Physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs while working with hoses, chemicals, and other equipment required for the job.
  • Hook up and break down hoses using proper tools.
  • Assist in the operation of equipment or power tools.
  • Clean up work area and equipment after work is completed.
  • Assist in inspection of equipment, hoses, connections, pumps, and general work area.
  • Read work orders and collect all necessary equipment to perform tasks.
  • Complete all appropriate paperwork including service receipts.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
Experience and Skill Requirements
  • Strong commitment to safety.
  • 5–10 years of experience operating heavy equipment, vacuum trucks, hydro‑blasters, and line cleaning.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage and motivate others.
  • Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred.
  • Ability to travel and work overtime, weekends, nights, and holidays as required.
