Job Overview & Responsibilities
  • This job classification uses a broad range of multi-level skills and abilities in the manufacture of products as designated by the Company. Performs a variety of tasks to complete work and/or assist teammates in assigned work area. Duties and responsibilities at any given work assignment may include, but are not limited to any of the following:
  • Exercise accepted rigging techniques within the capacity of the equipment, including accurate estimates of load weight and center of gravity, using such hardware as overhead cranes, wire rope slings, clevises, shackles, hooks and eyes, etc., to assure proper safe rigging prior to lifting operations.
  • Operates forklifts, tugs, jigs, fixtures, dollies and similar equipment.
  • Obtain correct parts, materials and tools to accomplish assigned task.
  • Use and work with detailed work instructions, blueprints, process standards and other specifications to moderate, exacting, or critical tolerances.
  • Use precise measuring instruments, gauges, tools, and related equipment.
  • Apply multiple skills in the preparation and accomplishment of precise layout, fitting, trimming, positioning, aligning, assembling, mating, checking, and set-up of detail prefabricated parts, tube assemblies, wire harnesses, large composite and metallic structures and welded subassemblies, pneumatic and hydraulic components.
  • Help the team become increasingly self-sufficient and participate in improving products, processes, and procedures of all types.
  • Perform other duties as assigned within this job classification or other work when incidental but necessary to accomplish the assignment.
Required Education

High School/GED

Required Years of Experience

Minimum of 2 years of related work experience

Basic Qualifications
  • An Associate's degree or 2-year Technical Degree in a relevant discipline may be considered as equivalent to 2 years of experience.
  • Must be able to work Weekend Shift, 6:00 a.m.

    - 6:30 p.m., Friday - Sunday.
  • Must be willing to work extended hours, and off shifts as needed.
  • Prior experience with assembly and aerospace hardware (or equivalent experience)
  • Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, detailed written work instructions, and other printed or graphical instruction.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs., bend, kneel, squat, stoop, work overhead, reach above shoulder level, sit, stand, walk (sometimes on uneven surfaces), and climb.
  • Ability to perform work with both hands which may involve forceful grasping, repetitive motion with low impact vibration.
  • Must be able to climb and work from ladders, rainbows and platforms for extended periods of time, awkward positions and in high places.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge or experience with basic welding techniques
