Observe scheduled shift hours as assigned by the Meat Manager and/or store manager.

Essential Functions
  • Prepare, store, cut, clean, and serve meat.
  • Monitor food distribution and ensure that guidelines are followed.
  • Clean and sterilize dishes, kitchen utensils, equipment, and facilities.
  • Maintain coolers, cases, and displays by keeping them stocked.
  • Provide friendly, courteous, and prompt service to all customers.
  • Maintain good communication with the Meat Manager.
  • Assist in recording and maintaining accurate bookkeeping systems for weekly and monthly meat purchases.
  • Control shrink through inventory and ordering.
  • Conduct inventory of all products on hand before prepaying a meat order.
  • Assist Meat Manager in taking a four‑week period meat inventory.
  • Ensure that product is rotated, cooled, and stocked properly.
  • Ensure proper temperature in all meat coolers and cases.
  • Use proper safety procedures and maintain a clean department, coolers, cases, and equipment.
