Apprentice Body Shop Technician – Entry‑level position, perfect for individuals eager to immerse themselves in the dynamic world of body shop operations and technician duties. You will receive extensive training, including hands‑on experience shadowing one of our master technicians.
Key Responsibilities- Perform body restoration for trucks
- Perform work on rear and front axles
- Replace transmission, radiators, and compressors
- Replace starter, frame rails, fifth wheel, and roof
- Perform electrical work on trucks
- Restore damaged trucks
- Notify manager of additional repairs needed
- Notify manager of difficulties or problems that may prevent quality work or alter promised time
- Maintain tools and equipment in proper state of repair
- Operate all tools and equipment safely
- Maintain and wear all required safety and health personal protective equipment
- Comply with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint and other hazardous materials
- Cooperate and assist other personnel in repair and prep of trucks
- Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations that affect body shop operations
- Positive attitude
- Motivated and eager to learn
- Ability to use a wide range of tools and equipment to assess and repair trucks
- Free range of motion in hands and arms to work with small parts and small spaces
- Attention to detail
- Customer service skills
- Critical‑thinking skills to assess damage and determine how to make repairs
- Ability to follow instructions and provide consistent work
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
- Must pass a post‑offer drug test and physical exam
- $18 hourly
