A Day in the Life: Installs repairs and removes various instruments and their component parts in an efficient manner with respect to safety, quality, and sanitation. Provides skilled mechanical and electrical/electronic support to all areas of Production

What You'll Be Doing:
- Install, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, automated, and electrical/electronic equipment including but not limited to PLCs, numeral controls, power supplies, drives, gauges and test equipment
- Plans and performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical theories and principles, writing specifications, local and national electrical codes, properties of various materials, and principles of operation and application of electronic equipment
- Conducts electrical planning, preventative maintenance, and programming for process logic control systems (PLC’s) platforms, instrumentation, and human-machine interfaces (HMI)
- Installs repairs and calibrates electronic to pneumatic converters or pneumatic to electronic converters or a combination of both
- Repairs electronic equipment instruments such as ultrasonic, radar, and other conventional level controls
- Repairs electronic equipment instruments such as photo eyes, proximity controls, and associated equipment and controls
- Repairs and calibrates temperature sensing instruments with capillary and bulb, instruments with thermocouple and electric output and resistive temperature detectors (RTD’s)
- Be prepared to work a flexible, 8, 10, or 12 hour schedule that will include off shifts and weekends.
- Works on-call status as required based on rotating schedule
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Associates degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, or Journeyman Instrument Maintenance/Electrical Technician (Preferred)
- 2-3 years of equivalent experience programming, troubleshooting and repairing PLC’s (Siemens PCS7/WinnCC, Rockwell/Allen Bradley) and distributive control systems.
- High degree of precision working with minimum tolerances required
- Experience in AutoCAD (Preferred)
- Experience with ammonia refrigeration (Preferred)
- AS-i/Profibus networks (Preferred)
- Comprehension of electrical schematics, blue prints, and P&.
- Experienced in different brands of variable frequency drives
- Experienced with maintenance, set-up, and calibration of all types of process instrumentation
- Teamwork – able to work with people in such a manner as to build high morale and group commitments to goals and objectives.
