Shipping and Receiving Clerk

We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Specialist to support warehouse operations for a growing manufacturing facility in Decatur. This individual will be responsible for receiving incoming materials, processing outbound shipments through UPS and Fed Ex, maintaining inventory accuracy, stocking production materials, cycle counting, and supporting overall warehouse organization.

• Receive incoming materials and verify quantities against packing slips and purchase orders.
• Process outgoing shipments utilizing Fed Ex, UPS, and freight carriers.
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment.
• Stock production materials and maintain warehouse inventory locations.
• Perform cycle counts and inventory audits.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and investigate discrepancies.
• Scan materials using handheld barcode scanners and inventory systems.
• Pull materials based on Bills of Material (BOMs).
• Organize warehouse bays, shelves, bins, and inventory locations.
• Track inventory transactions in ERP systems.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel and Word to support inventory records and documentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
• Support production teams with material movement and replenishment.

• 2+ years of warehouse, shipping, receiving, or inventory experience.
• Experience with Fed Ex Ship Manager and UPS World Ship.
• Knowledge of inventory control and material tracking.
• Experience performing cycle counts and physical inventory.
• Comfortable using handheld barcode scanners.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Experience reading and working from Bills of Material (BOMs).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Experience in a manufacturing warehouse environment.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as Epicor, SAP, Oracle, Net Suite, IQMS, etc.
• Experience with inventory management software.
• Understanding of shipping documentation and freight coordination.
• Skills in material handling and warehouse organization.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Decatur, AL.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
