The Accounts Payable Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the accounts payable department, ensuring accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, payments, and expense reports. This role is responsible for supervising AP staff, maintaining vendor relationships, implementing process improvements, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting regulations.

Essential Functions- Assist the AP Manager with overseeing the full-cycle accounts payable process, including invoice receipt, coding, approvals, and payment.
- Partner with AP Manager to lead, train, and mentor the Accounts Payable team to ensure efficiency and accuracy in all AP functions.
- Ensure all vendor invoices and expense reports are processed timely and in compliance with internal controls.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Manage weekly payment runs (checks, ACH, wire transfers).
- Ensure adherence to company policies, accounting principles, and internal control requirements.
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and responding to inquiries.
- Maintain W-9 records and support annual 1099 filings.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve AP processes, automation, and internal controls.
- Serve as the main point of contact for vendor inquiries and issue resolution.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- 3–5 years in accounts payable or accounting, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
