Interventional Radiologist Locum Tenens Opportunity

Optigy is seeking experienced ACR-Certified Interventional Radiologists to join our pool of credentialed providers supporting a major federal health system in the Decatur, GA area. This role provides on-call, after-hours, weekend, holiday, and as-needed daytime clinic coverage.

This is an excellent opportunity for Interventional Radiologists seeking ongoing locums shifts at competitive rates.

Schedule

• Clinic Hours: Monday Friday, 7:30am4:30pm EST (as needed)

• After-Hours/Call Coverage:

  • Weekdays: 4:30pm8:00am

  • Weekends & Holidays: 24-hour call

• FTE: 1.0 for combined on-call and onsite coverage

Procedures Include (not limited to)

• Angiography

• Balloon angioplasty & stent placement

• Cryoablation

• Chemoembolization

• IVC filters

• Cholecystostomy

• Drain insertions

• Nephrostomy placement

• Embolization

• Vertebroplasty / Kyphoplasty

• Radio logically inserted gastrostomy

• Thrombolysis

• Dialysis access interventions

• Biopsy

• TIPS

• Radio frequency and other ablative procedures

• Biliary interventions

• Endovenous laser ablation of varicose veins

Additional Responsibilities

• Patient consultations

• Treatment planning & management

• Discharges & follow-ups

• Participation in peer review and administrative meetings

• EMR documentation

• Quality improvement activities

• Committee involvement as required

• Compliance with medical bylaws and organizational policies

Requirements

• MD or DO from accredited institution

• Active, unrestricted US medical license

• Board Certified (A ) with Interventional Radiology subspecialty

• BLS and ACLS certifications

• Active DEA

• Strong clinical and communication skills

• EMR proficiency

• Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team
