International Community School (ICS) is a public charter school in DeKalb County, Georgia serving students in grades K-5. Established in 2002, the school brings together refugee, immigrant, and local children in an academically challenging and nurturing environment, supporting 500 students annually from more than 60 nationalities and speaking 31 languages.

As Assistant Principal, you will partner with the Principal to lead daily school operations, support high‑quality teaching and learning, and ensure a safe, supportive environment where every student thrives.

• Instructional Leadership & Data:
  Ensure rigorous, developmentally responsive, data‑informed instruction that results in meaningful academic growth for all students.
• Testing & Accountability:
  Ensure accurate and compliant administration of assessments.
• Operations & Logistics:
  Ensure smooth, safe, and efficient day‑to‑day operations.
• Student Support & Discipline:
  Promote a safe, restorative, developmentally responsive environment that supports student success.
• Climate & Culture:
  Build a positive, inclusive, IB‑aligned school culture.
• Family & Staff Engagement:
  Strengthen family‑school partnerships and support professional collaboration.
• School wide Leadership:
  Provide collaborative leadership to ensure school wide consistency, aligned systems, and unified implementation of ICS priorities.
• Staff Supervision & Accountability:
  Support professional growth through coaching, clear expectations, and consistent follow‑through aligned with ISC standards.
• Other Duties:
  Perform additional responsibilities necessary to support school operations, student success, and the overall mission of ISC.

• Master’s Degree in Education from an accredited institution.
• Valid Georgia Educational Tier 1 Leadership Certificate.
• Minimum of three (3) years classroom experience.
• Experience with testing systems, data tools, and Infinite Campus.

• Experience teaching or coaching grades K-5 and 6-8.
• IB PYP experience or willingness to complete training.
• Experience in multilingual, multicultural school communities.
• Charter or mission‑aligned leadership experience.

• Salary of $74,206 - $134,887 based on education and experience (DeKalb County School District Assistant Principal Salary Scale).
