Position Summary

Provide focused tutoring in various content areas and support students in developing executive functioning skills. The ASC Tutor provides regular tutoring support during the school day. They collaborate with the Lead ASC Tutor, colleagues, and educators to effectively support student learning within the district.

Essential Functions
  • Serve as liaison between educators and tutors.
  • Plan and facilitate meetings with tutors to address challenges, share information, and foster positive relationships.
  • Collaborate with principals and educators to discuss student progress and effective resources.
  • Provide tutoring support to small groups of students.
  • Supervise tutors in their interactions with students.
  • Assist students in setting and monitoring individual goals.
  • Facilitate communication between educators, tutors, and families.
  • Guide students with learning activities and supports.
  • Monitor student behavior to maintain a safe learning environment.
  • Model appropriate social and interpersonal skills.
  • Attend and lead meetings as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required. A minimum of 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours of college coursework with a grade of C or higher from an accredited institution is required.
