Nightingale Lighting, introduced in 2024, is setting a new standard with innovative, market-disruptive lighting products for healthcare spaces. We re seeking an experienced, hands-on mechanical engineer to join the Nightingale product development team to lead new product development projects from concept through production. This role reflects responsibility for all aspects of product development-- from novel concept creation through detailed design, testing, documentation, and ultimately manufacturing release. The successful candidate will be creative, curious, and independent while effectively collaborating with all cross-functional members of the project team.

Based on business needs, this role works a hybrid schedule in Decatur, GA.

• Product development from concept through production, including new product development, sustaining engineering support, and resolving field problems.
• Using the product delivery (stage-gate) system to lead mechanical product design, prototyping, and release to manufacturing, managing complex schedules, including product test and evaluation programs.
• Collaborating with and influencing cross-functional members of the product team.

• A Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology is required.
• 5+ years of engineering experience in lighting and appliance or from a related manufacturer of electro-mechanical consumer products is required.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD and Microsoft Office programs is required.
• Solid Works software proficiency and CAD data management experience are preferred.
• Lifting items weighing up to 50 lbs based on business needs is required.
• Able to work from the Decatur, GA facility based on business needs is required.
• Able to travel domestically and internationally as needed for the role.
