Provides leadership for day to day unit operations in interventional radiology supporting vascular and neuro-interventional operations. Communicates patients' and staff needs and responses through appropriate verbal and written methodology. Ensures that patient care assignments are based on patient care requirements and staff competence. Maintains records for service and compliance with internal and external regulatory guidelines. Responsible for completion of orientation, initial and ongoing competency requirements of each staff member.

Assists in administrative activities such as budget planning, identifying means of cost containment, coordinating department staffing schedules and ensuring communication regarding areas of concern. Provides and coordinates the resources needed within the department to provide optimal patient outcomes. Assures availability of equipment and supplies for all procedures. Maintains education/competency files on all employees. Facilitates the process of patient/family education efforts by assessing the need for intervention providing staffing coverage, supporting and reinforcing clinical instructions.

Serves as a resource for advanced clinical and technical knowledge for all staff. Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology with ARRT certification. Advanced certification in Vascular Interventional (VI) Radiography required. Must demonstrate proficiency in neuro-interventional suite within 6 months of employment. Must have a minimum of five (5) yearsÂ
¿ experience with three (3) year in Interventional Radiology.
