Overview

We are a faith-based property management company with a mission to restore broken communities as described in Isaiah 58:12, aiming for the physical and spiritual renewal of our properties. We are seeking a motivated and spiritually-minded Property Manager to oversee our multifamily, senior-living apartment community in Decatur, GA. The ideal candidate will have experience in property management or possess a strong background in business practices and be dedicated to fostering a culture of care and spiritual growth within our staff and community.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Property Management:
    • Oversee and manage the daily operations of the multifamily apartment community, ensuring high-quality living standards for our residents.
    • Develop and maintain an efficient system for rent collection, lease administration, and property maintenance.
    • Manage property budgets, including regular financial reporting and analysis to ensure cost-effectiveness and profitability.
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding housing and property management.
  • Staff Development and Leadership:
    • Lead, train, and supervise a team of property management staff, promoting a culture of care, spiritual growth, and professional development.
    • Organize regular team meetings, providing guidance on company values, goals, and faith-based principles.
    • Develop and implement performance metrics for staff, conducting performance evaluations and providing constructive feedback.
    • Collaborate with HR to recruit, hire, and retain a diverse and qualified team, prioritizing candidates who align with our faith-based mission and values.
  • Resident Relations and Community Building:
    • Build strong relationships with residents, addressing their concerns promptly and professionally while fostering a sense of community.
    • Develop and implement faith-based programs and events to encourage spiritual growth, social interaction, and a sense of belonging among residents.
    • Create a welcoming atmosphere, ensuring the property remains clean, safe, and well-maintained.
    • Collaborate with local faith-based organizations and community partners to enhance the living experience and foster a strong support network for residents.
  • Business Development and Marketing:
    • Collaborate with company leadership to develop and implement strategic marketing plans to attract prospective residents, including online advertising, social media, and community outreach.
    • Foster and maintain relationships with local businesses, organizations, and housing agencies to increase brand awareness and drive occupancy rates.
    • Regularly review market trends and competitor properties to identify areas of improvement and ensure the property remains competitive.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Property Management, or a related field strongly preferred, but not required.
  • Experience in property management is preferred, but not required.
  • Experience working with senior communities preferred, but not required.
  • Strong commitment to faith-based values and principles, with a desire to lead and inspire spiritual growth in others.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and effectively manage conflict.
  • Detail-oriented, strong organizational skills, and ability to prioritize responsibilities.
  • Proficient in property management software (Appfolio preferred, but not required) and Microsoft Office Suite.
