Summary

McNair Middle School in DeKalb County School District seeks a GA‑licensed School Nurse (RN/LPN) for the 2025‑2026 school year. The role under direct supervision provides student health services to promote attendance, health, and well‑being.

• Perform student health procedures and assist with medication administration.
• Conduct respiratory assessment and tracheostomy care when needed.
• Maintain up‑to‑date health records and observe health needs of students.
• Report school health matters to parents, staff, physicians, clinics, and other agencies.
• Provide emergency care for assigned students and advise on health modifications to the education program.
• Travel to schools on bus, attend classes and activities, and prepare and submit reports for lead nurse and principal.

• Associate’s Degree in Practical Nursing or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of one (1) year practical nursing or closely related experience required.
• Experience in pediatric nursing preferred.

• Valid State of Georgia Practical Nurse license required.
• Valid CPR certificate required.
• Valid First Aid certificate preferred.
