Description
Metro Infectious Disease Consultants is seeking an Infusion Nurse Practitioner to work full-time in two clinics located in Decatur, GA. Ideal candidate will have excellent IV skills (PICC certified preferred but not required) and advanced wound‑care skills. The position offers a high‑tech infusion nurse practitioner the ability to utilize skills in an office setting and competitive pay.

LocationsEmory Decatur Outpatient Wound Center + MIDC (Decatur, GA); NP would split the week between both locations
Specific Duties- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with various types of wounds.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on evidence‑based protocols for wound management.
- Perform advanced wound care procedures.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests related to wound care to monitor healing progress and adjust treatment plans.
- Place and maintain peripheral IV catheters for infusion therapy needs with ongoing assessment of IV site.
- Prepare medication for IV administration as ordered.
- Administer IV therapy via electronic pump with troubleshooting of pump alarms and/or administration via gravity/dial‑a‑flow tubing.
- Document infusion charting and patient messages in EMR system.
- Address patient questions or concerns related to adverse effects, side effects, diagnosis, treatment, etc. within scope of mid‑level provider.
- Use clinical judgment in evaluation activities to meet patient care needs and establish priorities.
- Monitor the safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipment.
- Participate in activities to facilitate good interpersonal communications with the facility.
- Agree to cover any clinic as needed per direction of the Manager of Clinical Operations.
- Support professional practice by observing the following: use knowledge and practices in accordance with Standards of Nursing Practice, JCAHO, state and local laws, and MIDC policy.
- Other duties and tasks as assigned.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Valid APRN license.
- At least two years NP office practice experience, preferably in an infusion‑related practice.
- At least two years NP office practice experience, preferably in a wound‑care‑related practice.
- Infusion experience.
- Chemo experience is preferred, but not required.
- Proof of current vaccinations, including recommended boosters commonly required for those working with immunocompromised patients (measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis A & B, influenza, and COVID‑19).
