The Big Picture

As a Shift Leader at Edible Arrangements, you will help lead daily store operations while delivering exceptional customer service and high-quality, fresh fruit products. You will serve as a role model for store associates, helping coordinate daily tasks, maintain operational standards, and ensure orders are prepared accurately and efficiently.

In addition to leading the team during assigned shifts, you will actively participate in taking customer orders, designing fruit arrangements, preparing products, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. Working closely with store leadership and team members, you will help create a positive, productive workplace and ensure every customer enjoys a memorable Edible Arrangements experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations by coordinating team activities, delegating tasks, and ensuring priorities are completed efficiently during assigned shifts
• Lead by example by delivering exceptional customer service, engaging customers, and recommending products to enhance their Edible Arrangements experience
• Assist with opening and closing procedures, including preparing the store for daily operations, completing assigned checklists, and securing the store as needed
• Accept and process customer orders accurately through phone, in-store, and online channels, ensuring orders are properly recorded and fulfilled
• Prepare and design Edible Arrangements products, including fruit bouquets, dipped fruit boxes, platters, and dessert boards, in accordance with company procedures and portion standards
• Monitor order accuracy, product quality, and timely fulfillment to ensure customer expectations are consistently met
• Provide day-to-day guidance and support to store associates, helping ensure team members understand their responsibilities and follow established procedures
• Address customer questions, concerns, and service issues professionally, escalating complex situations to store management when appropriate
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and quality standards related to food preparation, storage, packaging, and handling
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked store by ensuring work areas, equipment, utensils, and dishes are properly maintained and routine cleaning tasks are completed
• Help monitor inventory and supplies, communicate replenishment needs, and minimize product waste
• Support the training and onboarding of new team members by demonstrating procedures, reinforcing expectations, and providing hands-on guidance
• Communicate shift updates, operational issues, and outstanding tasks to store leadership to support continuity between shifts
• Take responsibility for resolving routine operational challenges and assist store leadership with additional duties as assigned

Experience & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous retail, food service, or customer service experience preferred; prior leadership or shift supervision experience is a plus
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with point-of-sale systems and order management tools
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to build positive relationships and encourage customer loyalty
• Demonstrated ability to guide, motivate, and support team members in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks, coordinate multiple responsibilities, and keep operations running smoothly
• Ability to handle difficult customer interactions calmly and professionally while identifying appropriate solutions
• Willingness to learn all aspects of store operations, including product preparation, order fulfillment, food safety, and shift leadership
• Reliable and punctual, with the ability to work assigned shifts and demonstrate accountability
• Ability to receive and apply constructive feedback while helping reinforce team standards and expectations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Positive attitude, sound judgment, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality
