Area Middle School Community Coach – Girls Soccer (Druid Hills MS 2025‑2026)

Join DeKalb County School District as an Area Middle School Community Coach for girls soccer at Druid Hills Middle School. The role requires a passion for working with high school students, excellent instructional delivery skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

Title: Community Coach

Responsibilities:

• Work under the supervision of the Principal and the Head Coach in the sport of the coach's interest.
• Assist the Head Coach in developing game techniques and strategies to prepare the team for competition.
• Evaluate the need for individual or team improvement and provide direction accordingly.
• Maintain inventory of athletic equipment.
• Maintain first aid procedures and current knowledge of first aid techniques.
• Maintain locker rooms and playing facilities.
• Accept directions from the Head Coach at all times.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Experience and knowledge coaching sports preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, Permits:

• Georgia High School Association Lay Coaching Certificate required.
• Valid first aid certificate required.

Community Coaches are temporary positions and must be renewed annually.
