Clerical Assistant - Stephen Decatur Elementary

Responsible to

Principal

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Pleasant phone voice and etiquette; clerical skills to allow some computer work; accounting; and typing
• Some clerical and/or receptionist experience preferred
• Knowledge of Skyward Student Management System preferred; knowledge of Google Docs or willing to receive training

• Manage all incoming phone calls
• Greet, screen, and log all visitors to the building with a friendly, welcoming disposition
• Keep student roster updated in Skyward
• Manage all new and returning student registration and in and out of district transfers and withdrawals
• Manage and track all student attendance including tardiness and dismissals
• Maintain student records including permanent files and Skyward entry
• Maintain office work space and work room
• Assist Building Administrators, staff, and students when necessary
• Complete all tasks assigned/requested by building administrators and staff 1
• Maintain scheduling course master
• Assist with district and state reporting
• Maintain discipline records
• Update student, parent, teacher, school data as needed in Skyward
• Put together all awards for the various events throughout the school year
• Manage report cards
• Assist with dismissals
• Assist with safety drills
• Other duties as assigned

$14.75/hour; 8 hours/day; 202 days/year
