Detail Manager

Miles Chevrolet is seeking a Detail Manager to join our team in Decatur, IL. The Detail Manager will oversee all vehicle detailing operations to ensure our inventory is maintained to the highest standards, enhancing the customer experience and supporting the sales team.

• Manage the daily detailing operations, ensuring all vehicles are cleaned and prepared to company quality standards.
• Supervise and train detailing staff, fostering a productive and motivated work environment.
• Coordinate with service and sales departments to prioritize vehicle detailing according to dealership schedules.
• Maintain equipment and supply inventory, ordering materials as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations related to detailing products and procedures.
• Implement processes to improve efficiency and quality of detailing services.
• Wash, wax, and buff the vehicle.
• Clean interior and exterior windows.
• Vacuum and scrub interior of vehicle.
• Clean engine and engine compartment.
• Apply dressing on tires and tire wells.
• Utilize special purpose cleaners to ensure lasting cleanliness of vehicles.
• Operate all tools in a safe manner.
• Report any safety issues immediately to management.

• Proven experience in automotive detailing management or related field.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to read, analyze & interpret technical procedures.
• Previous detail experience.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence & procedure manuals.
• Basic mathematical skills & reasoning ability.
• Customer service, computer & organizational skills.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
