Childcare Cook ($500 Sign-on Bonus!)

Base pay: $17.00/hr – $18.00/hr sign‑on bonus: $500 paid in two installments after 30 and 90 days of employment.

Decatur, IL

Shift: Monday–Friday, full-time hours.

• Prepare nutritious, well‑balanced meals that meet food program requirements.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and sanitary kitchen.
• Manage monthly inventory of non‑food items (cups, plates, etc.) and all food items needed for the food service order; distribute groceries, food service, and paper supply orders to appropriate building areas.
• Request items within budget for additional kitchen equipment and submit requests to the Center Director.
• Assist in classrooms as needed by relieving teachers for breaks and providing additional support.
• Maintain physical ability to work around small children, including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
• Lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Serve Safe certificate.
• Ability to pass all background checks.
• Prior childcare experience is a plus.
