Base pay range$28.00/hr - $33.00/hr
The Macon County Law Enforcement Training Center is seeking instructors for 560‑hour Basic Law Enforcement Academy, 200‑hour Basic Corrections Academy, and various in‑service courses offered at the facility.
Required Qualifications- Proficiency in areas of expertise and ability to pass a background check (if applicable).
- Successfully passed a recognized Instructor Development School (IDS) and received instructor certification through the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board and/or local Mobile Training Unit.
- Candidates without the IDS or certifications may still apply, but must work with the MCLETC Commander or designee to obtain the requirements before employment.
- Submission of a recommendation letter from current supervisor or other professional, if not employed.
- Physical Demands.
