OverviewBilling/Revenue Cycle Management Specialist
Heritage is currently searching for a Revenue Cycle Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the revenue cycle process from start to finish, including billing, collections, and accounts receivable. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to join a dynamic team. Individuals in this position must be able to work Monday‑Friday (40 hours each week).
CoreResponsibilities Include
- Submit electronic and manual claims adhering to strict deadlines.
- Monitor and analyze revenue cycle performance.
- Identify and resolve billing issues.
- Develop and maintain relationships with payers.
- Work with other departments to ensure accurate billing information is provided.
- Post and work claim denials.
- Post insurance payments.
- Other duties as assigned, required, or specifically negotiated with supervisor.
Skills and Abilities
- Must have knowledge of ICD‑10‑CM/PCS and CPT/HCPCS coding.
- Strong understanding of the revenue cycle process.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Outstanding organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently, but within a team‑based environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- One year of previous experience in medical billing, coding, and/or collection.
- Valid driver's license, reliable means of transportation and proof of current automobile insurance are required.
$37,440 - $60,320 per year ($18.00 - $29.00 per hour) – dependent on education and experience.
