The District Manager is a hands‑on leader responsible for 1–2 branches. This role supports day-to-day operations, safety, customer satisfaction, and branch development. It’s a stepping‑stone to a Regional Manager position, providing leadership experience in a more focused territory.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Act as a leader in safety and compliance, setting the tone for safe operations and practices.
- Support and develop Branch Managers and their teams to meet operational, safety, and financial goals.
- Assist in standardizing operational processes to improve efficiency and ensure alignment with SES expectations.
- Help monitor and manage budgets, financial performance, and cost controls at each location.
- Foster a culture of accountability, team development, and customer‑first service delivery.
- Address customer needs and resolve service issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Communicate regularly with the VP of Industrial Services, providing updates on branch performance and needs.
- Identify and act on improvement opportunities in people, process, and operations.
- Support and coach Branch Managers and front‑line leaders while preparing them for future growth opportunities.
- Represent SES in the field, reinforcing company values, policies, and expectations.
- Assist with staffing, scheduling, and job readiness.
- Monitor branch‑level financials and support growth plans.
- Promote SES culture and support leadership development.
- Maintain customer relationships and resolve service issues.
- Oversee branch operations and ensure safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Minimum of 5 years in the Environmental and/or Industrial Services industry
- Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience in a similar role
- Minimum 5 years of safety and/or compliance experience
- Customer‑focused and employee safety attitude
- Excellent project management skills
- Excellent oral and written communications
- Strong background in team building
- High integrity and a desire to grow within the organization
- Willingness to travel to assigned locations
- Basic financial literacy and ability to track performance metrics
- Prior sales experience.
- Experience implementing structured performance management systems and employee development plans.
- Experience leading organizational change and guiding teams through transitions or restructuring.
- Familiarity with succession planning, and talent pipeline development.

- Frequent walking, standing, and sitting for extended periods.
- Occasional lifting and moving of equipment up to 25 lbs.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines, analyze operational challenges, and make high‑stakes decisions.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments.
- Travel required, including overnight stays as needed.
