Logistics Supervisor – Decatur, IL
Pay range: $30.00 per hour.
Overall PurposeThe Logistics Supervisor assists the Site Manager in maintaining the proper material flow through required processes, ensuring that the service provided during the shift is conducted in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. This is accomplished by meeting or exceeding customer expectations.

- Supervise the planning and execution of daily activities, including current operations, customer requests, and new projects.
- Maintain required productivity and quality levels, implementing improvements when possible.
- Ensure processes and procedures are followed to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Ensure training records are current and updated for employees.
- Motivate employees to maintain a team environment.
- Complete weekly 5S and safety walk-throughs.
- Assign daily workloads to ensure timely completion.
- Maintain company policies and procedures in accordance with management directives.
- Interface with the customer in a professional manner and implement customer feedback into daily operations.
- Provide backup for Material Handler or Logistics Analyst.
- Provide on-the-job training when needed, mentor, and supervise workers.
- Maintain on-time delivery performance.
- Monitor KPI, maintaining acceptable levels.
- Track attendance / time off requests.
- Complete other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Comprehension level of FIFO material flow applications.
- Comprehension level knowledge of on-time, and right the first-time philosophy.
- Must be able to speak and read in English.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast‑paced environment.

- 3-5 years of experience in logistics or warehouse operations.
- 1-3 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
- Hiring and training experience preferred.
- Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), or ERP software.
- Analytical skills – ability to solve problems using reasoning.
- Energetic, friendly, and professional attitude.
- Detail oriented – ability to pay attention to detail.
- Self‑motivated – ability to perform tasks with initiative.
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred but not always required).
