Description:
Position requires an experienced Orthopedic Registered Nurse.
The shift is 3x12 hours from 06:00 to 18:30.Candidates must have a minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
First-time travelers are accepted.
Weekend work is required every other weekend.
Clinicians may float within the scope to meet facility needs.
Open to accommodating block schedules upon discussion with management.
Local candidates are accepted.
Pending licenses are accepted; however, an active state license is required to apply.
Requests for time off should ideally not exceed five days.
Facility may cancel up to 36 hours per assignment without payment for canceled hours.
If more hours are canceled, the client will be billed for excess shifts.
Staffed beds at the facility total 372.Patient diagnoses include various orthopedic surgeries and procedures.
Daily census ranges around 18 patients in the specialty unit.
Expect multiple admissions during each shift.
The unit features interdisciplinary support and interpretation services.
Equipment utilized includes IV pumps, walkers, gait belts, and negative pressure wound dressings.
The admission process is fast-paced, particularly during surgery days.
