* ** quality control technician - bushnell, il*
* ** job summary
- ** the quality control position is responsible for sampling and running tests on the product to ensure that it meets customer specifications. Performs quality inspections during cip and verifications during production.

** essential job functions
- *** performs tests on product from the oven, packing line, blower trucks, and railcars
* performs all quality inspections during cip cleaning and quality verifications during production.
* inspects product on start-ups, shutdowns, and during problems at extruders
* inspects oven leg magnet
* inspects and records in tlc any magnets samples or flour samples turned in by employees
* prepared texture vegetable protein (tvp) formulation reports and sterile sample bags
* completes lab dailies from checklist - includes housekeeping tasks
* follows all safety, gmp, plant rules, and policies
* other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or plant manager
** education and training
- *** high school diploma or general education degree (ged); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
* ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
* ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
