HVAC​/R Technician - Commercial Equipment; IL

Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a skilled HVAC/R Technician. This role is ideal for skilled professionals with refrigeration and HVAC expertise who want to grow their careers in a stable, nationwide environment. The technician will diagnose, repair, and maintain refrigeration, HVAC, and kitchen equipment while providing professional, customer-focused service.

In this role, you will

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial refrigeration systems (walk-ins, reach-ins, ice machines, freezers, coolers)
• Service HVAC systems including rooftop units, split systems, and rack systems
• Install and service commercial kitchen hotside equipment (grills, fryers, ovens, steamers, kettles, dish machines)
• Perform preventative maintenance on client systems
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues to resolution
• Complete accurate service documentation in company systems
• Maintain safe, organized job sites and uphold professional customer service standards

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of commercial refrigeration experience (required)
• HVAC/R experience required; hotside kitchen equipment experience strongly preferred
• Relevant certifications (EPA Type I/II/III or Universal, CFESA, Journeyman Electrician, etc.)
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
• Comfortable operating a company van with limited visibility
• Willingness to work overtime and participate in on-call rotation
• Must pass background check and drug screen
