Description
Adams County EMS is looking for a full-time Paramedic. The shift is a 24/72 hour rotation. This means that you are on shift for 24 straight hours, then off shift for 72 straight hours. We are an ALS transport provider that responds to 911 calls within Adams County and provide interfacility transportation from Adams Memorial Hospital. We are a hospital based service.
All members are employed through Adams Memorial Hospital. We work very closely with other emergency agencies which include local fire, police, and dispatch agencies. To be effective in the job, the ideal Paramedic must be very competent and knowledgeable as well as self-motivated, self-aware, and compassionate.
- Respond to 911 calls and provide advanced life support (ALS) care.
- Transport patients to Adams Memorial Hospital and other facilities.
- Work closely with local fire, police, and dispatch agencies.
- Follow a 24/72 hour shift rotation and maintain professional standards.
- Valid Indiana Paramedic License.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid Driver's License.
- BLS/CPR, ACLS, and PALS Certification Required.
- Strong communication, self-motivation, self-awareness, and compassion.
Eligible for medical coverage on your first day of employment. Additional benefits effective the 1st of the month following hire date.
