Senior Cost Accountant

Our client is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to support product costing, financial analysis, and operational decision-making across their multi-site manufacturing operations. This role is highly collaborative, partnering with Manufacturing, Procurement, Operations, Engineering, and Finance to maintain cost accuracy, strengthen financial performance, and enhance costing processes. The ideal candidate brings hands‑on manufacturing cost accounting experience, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to translate financial data into meaningful operational insights.

• Maintain and update standard costs, and ensure accuracy of BOM, labor, and overhead rates
• Analyze manufacturing variances (materials, labor, overhead) and provide insights that support operational decisions
• Perform WIP, inventory valuation, COGS reconciliations, and support month‑end close activities
• Prepare cost roll‑ups, margin analysis, and financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and new product cost impacts
• Lead or support physical inventories, cycle counts, and the investigation of cost or inventory discrepancies
• Partner with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Engineering to improve costing accuracy, processes, and ERP workflows, and provide clear reporting to leadership

• 3+ years of manufacturing cost accounting experience
• Strong understanding of costing, BOM, and Inventory accounting
• Advanced Excel and experience with ERP systems
• Exposure to cost optimization initiatives and lean manufacturing
• Ability to communicate financial concepts to non‑financial stakeholders
