Retail Scan Associate (Monona, IA 52159)

Permanent part‑time role. Scan Scape Retail Scan Associates visit a designated selection of stores each week to scan all product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including aisle end caps throughout the store. The data collected is analyzed and used to improve sales performance of the product and retailer.

What a Retail Scan Associate does

• Visit grocery, convenience, drug, pet, and mass merchandise stores each week, 52 weeks a year including holiday weeks.
• Use a downloadable app on a mobile phone to scan barcodes throughout the store.
• Perform display scanning on the entire store each week, which can take several hours.
• Submit weekly reports within the described deadlines.
• Complete “Custom Projects” as requested by clients for specific product details (adds 30 minutes to 2 hours).
• Adhere to deadlines; this role requires dependability and quality‑driven action.

Work Hours

Estimated 6–8 hours per week for all assigned stores, depending on store size and project requirements. You will be asked to provide quantity data for about 45% of the products scanned.

• Grocery – Elkader, IA 52043: Wednesday or Thursday
• Grocery – Monona, IA 52159: Tuesday or Wednesday
• Grocery – Decorah, IA 52101: Monday or Tuesday
• Convenience – Guttenberg, IA 52052: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday
• Convenience – Tahlequah, OK 74464: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license
• Reliable vehicle with minimum state auto insurance coverage
• Ability to end on feet for long periods, access products throughout the store
• Lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet, bend/stretch/stoop/stand as needed
• Perform repetitive hand/wrist/arm/leg movements for prolonged periods
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Deadline‑driven self‑starter
• Access to reliable Wi‑FiTech‑savvy
• High school diploma or GED (preferred)
