Location: Dedham, MA

Schedule: Monday–Friday

Pay: $17 - $19 per hour

The Learning Experience – Dedham is seeking a reliable and organized Preschool Cook to support our early childhood center’s daily meal program. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a childcare, daycare, or school kitchen environment and is committed to providing healthy, safe meals to young children.

If you have experience with food preparation, kitchen safety, and supporting a busy school environment, we’d love to meet you!

• Prepare and serve nutritious breakfasts, lunches, and snacks according to center menus and dietary guidelines.
• Follow proper food safety, sanitation, and storage procedures at all times.
• Manage allergy lists and communicate dietary needs clearly with teachers.
• Maintain a clean, organized kitchen that meets state and local health regulations.
• Track inventory, assist with ordering supplies, and help manage kitchen records.
• Support classroom staff during mealtimes if needed and be a positive presence throughout the center.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Previous experience as a cook, kitchen aide, food prep assistant, school cook, or daycare cook preferred.
• Ability to lift 25+ lbs and work on your feet in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to children’s health and safety.
• Must meet all Massachusetts EEC and health department requirements.
