Payroll Coordinator

Overview

Join South Shore Bank as a Payroll Coordinator to support payroll, benefits, and HRIS functions for multiple local banks. Process bi‑weekly, monthly, and off‑cycle payrolls, maintain employee records, and coordinate electronic timecards.

• Process bi‑weekly, monthly, and off‑cycle payrolls, including commissions, bonuses, and incentives.
• Enter and verify time‑card exceptions and employee leave of absences on a bi‑weekly basis.
• Enter and verify earnings, deductions, and benefits to ensure proper tax and insurance payments.
• Research payroll inquiries, stay informed about tax law changes, and apply correct wage calculations.
• Update employment change data for new hires, promotions, demotions, and transfers.
• Fund retirement and HSA accounts as part of payroll processing.
• Review payroll reports, audit records, and perform related HR administrative duties.
• Participate in ad‑hoc HR projects and maintain privacy and data security policies.

• Minimum two years of customer service or office experience.
• Strong organizational, mathematical, and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and high regard for confidentiality.
• Knowledge of payroll rules, regulations, and procedures is a plus.
• Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office 365.
