Overview

Registered Nurse — Part‑time, Dedham, MA. Provide direct patient care under the supervision of the AVP of Nursing, Nurse Manager, or designee. Part‑time (24 h/week) with rotating weekends.

$39.90–$58.80 per hour depending on experience.

$2,500 for Part‑time positions.

• Assume full responsibility for quality nursing care, including teaching, counseling, and collaborative planning.
• Act as patient advocate and assist patients in developing self‑advocacy skills.
• Document all patient information in a timely manner; complete ongoing assessment of normal and abnormal status.
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments; assess vital signs and report abnormalities.
• Develop patient‑specific crisis plans and participate in development of master treatment plans.
• Provide nursing care in a therapeutically effective manner; maintain a safe therapeutic environment.
• Accurately transcribe medication and treatment orders; safely administer prescribed medications.
• Assume charge nurse role as assigned.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum of 2 years’ prior relevant psychiatric experience.
• Licensed RN in Massachusetts and CPR certified.
• Knowledge of general and psychiatric nursing processes, therapeutic relationships, crisis management.
• Strong organizational, communication, and detail skills; ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced mental health environment.

Physical agility to manage patients in crisis: push, pull, and lift 10–75 lbs; intermittent sitting, standing, walking, bending, and stooping.
