• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and electrical components in trucks and heavy equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Maintain accurate service records and document repairs in compliance with DOT and OSHA standards.
• Order parts and manage inventory of tools and materials needed for repairs.
• Assist in scheduling regular service intervals to avoid downtime on job sites.
• Collaborate with project teams to prioritize equipment needs and ensure job readiness.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant shop environment.
• Occasionally support field repairs or on‑site diagnostics when needed.

• 3+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic, preferably with heavy construction equipment and commercial trucks.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and fuel systems.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and computerized systems.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required).
• Ability to lift heavy parts and tools and work in varying weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Certification from a diesel technology program is a plus.
