Full‑time term Social Studies Classroom Teacher. Duties commence October 20, 2025 to November 16, 2025 or until the incumbent returns.

You will apply the 7 Determinants of the School Development Model (Wellness and Positive Relationships;
Optimal Learning Environments;
Instructional Practice; Assessment Practices; Collective Efficacy; Evidence‑based Decision Making; and Teachers as Learners) to your teaching practice.

• Engage professionally with colleagues, families and communities.
• Plan and implement effective and responsive teaching and learning practices.
• Shape a safe and positive learning environment for students and families.
• Demonstrate a love of learning and the ability to build learner and leadership capacity.
• Understand and apply effective assessment practices.

• Bachelor of Education – Secondary
• Major in Social Studies
• Appropriate training methods (SECONDARY)
• Equivalencies will be considered.

Applicants who do not meet the minimum qualifications may be considered under Clause 37.01(d) of the provincial collective agreement.

Annual teacher salary scale is contained within the NLTA Provincial Collective Agreement; benefits are also included in that agreement.
