Director of Student Services in Deer Lake

Shape student experiences as the Student Services Department Head at Elwood Regional High School. This permanent full-time position starts on September 8, 2026, with a focus on inclusivity and educational leadership.

As part of the leadership team at NLSchools, you will ensure a safe and nurturing learning environment while promoting student successes through effective initiatives. This role requires a strong understanding of special education and the ability to collaborate effectively with staff and administration. Key Responsibilities:

• Directly support educators and student assistants

• Develop comprehensive staffing strategies

• Collaborate with administrators on initiatives

• Lead staff training and development programs

• Manage resources in line with Atlantic Provinces Standards

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Education

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or equivalent

• NL Teaching Certificate – Level IV or higher

• Minimum of five years of teaching experience

• Demonstrated leadership in educational contexts
