The Supervisor/Team Lead for Material Handling is responsible for overseeing the movement, storage, and control of materials within a facility. This role ensures that raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods are handled safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Core Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily warehouse and material handling operations — including receiving, storing, shipping, and inventory control.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards — such as forklift operation, OSHA regulations, and proper handling of hazardous materials.
  • Manage material flow — coordinating the movement of goods to support production schedules and customer delivery performance.
  • Train and lead team members — mentoring staff, ensuring adherence to safety and operational procedures.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy — conducting cycle counts and maintaining accurate records.
  • Support supply chain activities — including procurement planning, kitting, and ensuring material availability.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Safety procedures and OSHA compliance are top priorities
  • Experience with cycle counts, lean manufacturing, and assembly line operations is common
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to coordinate between departments.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments and manage multiple priorities.

Salary

Base hourly rate $32-$35/hr.
