The SGT Mechanical Field Service Representative is a Region North America position reporting to the Gas Turbine Field Service Manager in the Siemens Energy group, based in Deer Park, Texas. The selected candidate is responsible for providing service and technical services for the SGT 100-400 product lines, including mechanical disassembly, inspection, reassembly, and commissioning during planned or unplanned outages, long‑term service contracts, and modernizations and upgrades.
The FSR is technically responsible for all facets of the company’s scope of work during equipment installation and subsequent service inspections/outages, focusing on SGT 100-400 mechanical service. The successful candidate will also cross‑train and be utilized in related product families.
How You’ll Make An Impact- Maintain the highest level of a zero‑harm culture in part by following and enforcing all company and customer EHS policies and programs.
- Carry out all aspects of mechanical installation, commissioning, service and maintenance of gas turbine packages in Region North America or Canada according to contract and deadlines.
- Plan, perform and coordinate onsite service and maintenance activities and liaise with project and engineering teams to ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded.
- Supervise mechanical aspects of Gas Turbine Inspection procedures (visual inspection, borescope inspection, filter changes, valve servicing) and maintain accurate records by producing written reports.
- Travel extensively (approximately 80% domestically, with international opportunities in Canada and possibly developing countries) and hold a valid passport, passing required background checks and drug/alcohol testing.
- Perform duties on day or night shift under difficult conditions (heat, cold, noise) and be willing to travel on short notice, work weekends and holidays.
- High School diploma or GED that can be verified is required.
- 5-7 years minimum experience as a mechanic on industrial or aeroderivative gas turbines; prior SGT 100-400 outage experience in the power generation or oil and gas industries is a plus.
- Familiarity with strip/rebuild of rotating mechanical equipment, auxiliary air, fuel and oil systems, and rotating equipment functionality.
- Experience with endoscopic (borescope) inspections and techniques preferred; ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents is required; familiarity with laser alignment is a plus.
- Strong time management, leadership, and organizational skills; excellent verbal and written communication; ability to produce detailed technical reports; client‑facing negotiation skills are a valuable plus.
- Valid driver’s license and passport.
