This is an onsite role located in our Deer Park, IL office.
Opportunity OverviewTeradyne seeks an accomplished and driven professional for the role of Engineering Project Manager, specializing in PMO Processes and Engineering Tools Support. This role is pivotal in defining, implementing, and optimizing project management methodologies, standards, and tools across our large engineering group. It combines project management expertise with process improvement, appealing to candidates passionate about tools and data analysis.
As an Engineering Project Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Rapidly attaining proficiency in the Project Management Organization’s (PMO) toolset, ensuring effective management and continuous enhancement of PMO tools and processes.
- Collaborating with enterprise‑wide PMO leaders to identify, implement, and promote best practices in project management, leveraging these insights to advance tools and drive data analysis initiatives.
- Partnering with Divisional Leaders to extract and synthesize critical project information, supporting informed and strategic business decision‑making.
- Leading the development and refinement of processes and tools, proactively addressing organizational gaps and driving continuous improvement.
- Gathering, evaluating, and translating feedback from peer groups and Engineering managers into actionable requirements to advance the PMO toolset.
- Thriving in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment by consistently delivering high‑quality results and contributing innovative solutions.

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related operations field
- 5+ years of experience managing high‑tech projects within a large organization (1,000+ employees)
- Proven experience in designing or enhancing software‑based tools, conducting data analysis, and optimizing PMO processes
- Demonstrated ability to interface with and lead discussions among cross‑functional group leaders
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, project scheduling tools, and Power Point
- Exceptional communication skills
- Strong attention to detail, analytical problem‑solving abilities, and a results‑driven mindset
- Willingness to travel occasionally (less than 5%)
- MBA or advanced degree
- Software experience
- Certified Project Management Professional

CompensationThe base salary range for this role is $140,500–$224,800. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.
Incentive PlanThis job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
