Distribution Superintendent

Distribution Superintendent – Linde

We are seeking a Distribution Superintendent to oversee the day‑to‑day distribution operations at our Deer Park, TX facility. The role reports to the Director of Distribution South Region and the Distribution Manager South Region, and coordinates with the national logistics organization.

• Day-to-day supervision of truck drivers
• Ensuring compliance with all safety requirements – internal and DOT
• Ensuring compliance with local, state, federal, and Linde policy regarding environmental, permitting, and product quality requirements
• Interviewing, hiring, and training new drivers to fill open positions
• Maintaining training records for all employees and ensuring all required training is scheduled, attended, and completed
• Ensuring housekeeping of distribution areas
• Working as a team with the Operations Manager and production personnel to maintain high productivity levels
• Collaborating with the South Region Distribution team for consistency across the region
• Co‑ordinating with the Fleet Maintenance Superintendent on equipment issues
• Assisting cover for other locations in South Region during vacation coverage
• Contributing to Linde's productivity initiatives by identifying and implementing cost‑reduction / lean / Six Sigma projects and ideas
• Resolving customer delivery issues communicated by drivers
• Leading or supporting RCA/RCI investigations as required
• Submitting and approving driver’s expenses in accordance with company policy
• Maintaining driver annual bid sheets, vacation bids, and calendar, scheduling DOT physicals and audiograms
• Organising, filing, and shipping DOT and company paperwork
• Reviewing trip efficiency and safety data and developing / implementing action plans for improvement

• Accessibility during off‑hours (laptop and cell phone)
• Ability to travel outside the Houston area up to 10% of the time

• Bachelor's Degree or prior distribution management experience
• Excellent communication, team interaction and presentation skills
• Self‑starter who can work independently, manage multiple tasks and achieve results with minimal supervision
• Proficiency with computers and standard software packages (MS Office, E‑mail, etc.)
