Maintenance Instrument Technician

Responsibilities- Provide first-line support to the Production Department for maintenance.
- Understand and maintain power supply and pneumatic instruments, including meters, monitors, transmitters, flowmeters, level devices, switches, alarms, PLCs, transducers, regulators, control valves, automatic valves, actuators, and solenoid valves.
- Calibrate, test, troubleshoot, and repair all instrumentation and related equipment, including ISO equipment; properly calibrate and document ISO items.
- Follow all Lubrizol procedures, including safety procedures, JSA’s, work permits, and MOC’s.
- Complete paperwork promptly: timesheets, shop papers, calibration records, drawings red marks, ISO forms, SAP maintenance entries, purchase parts from Stores, and computer-based training.
- Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM’s) on all instrumentation devices.
- Perform loop checks to verify connected components function properly; red mark any modifications on drawings.
- Troubleshoot instrumentation, isolate suspect devices from control loops, and perform corrective action.
- Study plans, drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirements and repair/installation sequencing.
- Carry out repairs for instruments/components brought to the workshop, such as repairing electronic cards, regulators, and transmitters.
- High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited school.
- 5+ years of experience within the chemical manufacturing industry.
- Experience with calibration, testing, troubleshooting, and repairs of all instrumentation and related equipment, including ISO equipment.
- Associate of Applied Science in Instrumentation Technology.
