Position: Salesperson/Store Driver  Store 8501

Job Description

Entry‑level sales position capable of supporting the DIY business and achieving our sales and service objectives. The role requires good knowledge of store systems, basic automotive system and part knowledge, and the ability to source from stores, hubs, pdq, and external suppliers. In‑depth knowledge of store inventory and maintenance processes is essential. Position can be part time or full time. Fleet safety certification preferred.

Primary

Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls.
  • Achieve personal sales goals and help the store reach its sales targets.
  • Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.
  • Maintain store product and operational standards.
  • Manage inventory processes: truck put‑away, shoot‑outs, cycle counts, back‑stock.
Secondary Responsibilities
  • Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot.
  • General stocking: truck stocking and back stock.
  • Safely deliver parts to customers as needed.
Success Factors
  • Basic driving and navigation ability.
  • Ability to use delivery board system.
  • Friendly communication skills.
  • Ability to locate and stock parts.
  • Safety knowledge and skills.
  • Proficiency with inventory systems and store equipment.
  • Parts and automotive system knowledge.

Essential

Job Skills
  • Speak and write English (Spanish a plus). Communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers, and management.
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals.
  • Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
  • Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed.
Prior Experience
  • 2‑3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment, providing superior customer experiences.
Store Driver

Entry‑level store position focused on delivering parts to commercial customers. Responsibilities include assisting with task and inventory processes. Position can be part time or full time and requires fleet safety certification.

Primary Responsibilities (Driver)
  • Safely deliver parts to customers as needed.
  • Pick and stage parts for customer orders.
  • Pickup returns and cores.
  • Deliver weekly/monthly sales flyers.
  • Handle daily collection of credit accounts.
Secondary Responsibilities (Driver)
  • Maintain store cleanliness: floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot.
  • General stocking: truck stocking and back stock.
Success Factors (Driver)
  • Basic driving and navigation ability.

Physical Demands

The employee will predominantly be walking or standing. Tasks include talking and hearing, hand use, reaching with arms, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Frequently lifting or moving up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

Usually inside, occasionally outside with exposure to weather, installing batteries and wiper blades. Possible exposure to moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, toxins, caustic chemicals, electrical shock, explosives, and vibration. Noise level moderate.
