The Wyndham Deerfield Beach Resort is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Beach Attendant to join our team! As a Beach Attendant, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and ensuring a safe, positive, and friendly environment for beach patrons. You will be expected to take orders on the beach from guests and running the orders out to them. You will be expected to monitor activities on the beach, answer questions, and assist guests.
Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the beach area and ensuring that all beach rules and regulations are followed. - Greet beach patrons and answer any questions they may have
- Provide chairs, umbrellas, and other beach equipment to beach patrons
- Assist patrons with setting up beach equipment
- Monitor beach for safety hazards and potential hazards
- Ensure beach goers follow safety rules and regulations
- Collect and dispose of trash from beach
- Report any hazardous conditions to beach managers
- Ensure beach area is clean and tidy
- Provide first aid when needed
- Assist with other beach related activities as needed
- Provide food and beverage service to guests by taking orders and running their food out when ready.
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR
- Good problem solving and decision making skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work evenings and weekends
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Ability to follow safety procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to use basic hand tools (e.g., rakes, shovels)
- Basic knowledge of beach maintenance
- Basic knowledge of beach safety
