Position: Student Worker (Concessions) - Quiet Waters Park

Student Worker (Concessions) – Quiet Waters Park

Contribution to the city’s parks and recreation system by offering top‑quality customer service, food concessions, and park gate operations. Experienced in a fast‑paced environment and able to work nights, weekends, and holidays while serving a diverse public.

Responsibilities
  • Operate food concession storefront, including preparing and serving food, maintaining inventory, and ensuring food safety compliance.
  • Manage park gate and entrance operations: collect fees, operate cash register, and balance cash drawers.
  • Handle phone and email inquiries, provide information on park rentals and concessions, and assist visitors with specials and passes.
  • Theorize, record, and follow up on waivers and daily paperwork items.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of concession areas and support state health inspection readiness.
  • Assist with facility and equipment rentals, including responding to inquiries, evaluating requests, and scheduling.
  • Perform any other related duties as assigned by management.
  • Qualifications
  • Must be at least 16 years old and currently enrolled in high school, college, or university.
  • Valid Florida Class E driver’s license for the assignment area.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong customer service orientation and basic cash handling skills.
  • Capable of standing, walking, and lifting up to 20 pounds regularly.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Prepared to undergo a 10‑year background check and a post‑offer physical examination.
