The Admissions Officer plays a key role in marketing, recruiting, and guiding prospective students through the admissions process. This position supports international applicants, organizes outreach events, analyzes performance data, and ensures the delivery of high-quality admissions services to prospective students.
What you'll do- Attend career fairs, health fairs, and community events to market and recruit for assigned programs.
- Plan and coordinate informational workshops, campus tours, and business/industry visits to promote educational opportunities.
- Create and distribute brochures, promotional flyers, and digital marketing materials.
- Collaborate with academic programs to interpret policies and develop admissions procedures.
- Review admissions forms, referring candidates for placement testing or academic advising as needed.
- Provide personalized admissions counseling to prospective students.
- Coordinate with campus admissions offices and central enrollment services to ensure consistent delivery of admissions support.
- Participate in new student orientation sessions.
- Review academic transcripts and assist students in creating educational plans.
- Maintain student records related to general education requirements and competencies prior to graduation.
- Participate in initial screening processes to evaluate student readiness.
- Override course placements when justified by appropriate documentation.
- Recruit and secure work sites for students in the practical components of their programs.
- Manage contracts, student documentation, and required paperwork.
- Conduct on-site visits to evaluate student progress and compliance.
- Use CRM tools to segment, nurture, and follow up with leads through personalized strategies via email, Whats App, and social media (Facebook, Instagram).
- Assist in evaluating and processing foreign academic documents, including diplomas, transcripts, and certified translations.
- Facilitate the enrollment process for international students.
- Track statistics such as conversion rates, dropout rates, and student satisfaction.
- Generate reports and recommend improvements to enhance recruitment and retention.
- Work with office support staff to coordinate clerical and student assistance functions.
- Oversee day-to-day administrative issues within the admissions department.
- Collaborate with the Student Services Division to promote academic success and retention.
- Support the University President in developing and implementing policies and procedures for the Student Services Department.
- Other tasks inherent to this role and designated projects by the Admissions Manager.
- Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Education, Marketing, or related field.
- Experience in admissions, enrollment management, or student services.
- Proficiency (Speaking, Reading, and Writing) in Spanish. English preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
