Senior Captive Insurance Operations Manager

** Senior Manager Captive Insurance Operations
** to join JM Family’s growing Enterprise Risk team. This position presents a distinctive opportunity to lead the creation and execution of a robust insurance strategy across multiple entities. The individual in this role will provide strategic direction and operational leadership to drive expansion and growth for a multi-line captive insurance program that includes both first- and third-party coverage. Responsibilities include designing and managing risk-financing strategies and spearheading cross-functional initiatives to optimize program performance.##
** Duties and Responsibilities**
* ** Captive Program Strategy & Governance**  + Lead the development, expansion, consolidation and ongoing management of the captive insurance entities.  + Oversee formation, governance, and regulatory compliance across all captive structures.  + Align captive operations with broader corporate risk management and financial goals.  + Act as the subject matter expert, advising internal teams on coverage and risk mitigation.
* ** Financial Oversight & Performance Management**  + Manage underwriting, reserve adequacy, budgeting, and financial reporting.  + Develop and maintain forecasting tools and financial controls to support transparency and decision-making.  + Analyze financial performance and prepare business cases for senior leadership.

* ** Vendor & Relationship Management**  + Build and maintain relationships with reinsurers, TPAs, captive managers, actuaries, investment bankers, and advisors.  + Negotiate service agreements to ensure operational efficiency and financial performance.
* ** Compliance, Reporting & Audit Readiness**  + Ensure full regulatory compliance across all captive operations.  + Maintain documentation, internal controls, and audit preparedness.  + Support government filings, annual audits, and board meeting preparation.
* ** Team Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement**  + Potentially build and lead a team to support growth and service delivery.  + Collaborate with operating companies to produce monthly reports and recommend structural changes.  + Increase stakeholder awareness and engagement with insurance programs through education and stewardship.
