American Traveler is hiring a Medical ICU RN for a night shift assignment requiring recent ICU and travel experience, FL or compact RN license, and Epic proficiency.

• Work in the Medical ICU (MICU) of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• Floating as needed
• Holiday coverage as needed
• Hurricane sign-up required but not guaranteed
• Uses Epic EMR

• Active FL or Compact RN license required in hand
• BLS and ACLS certification via AHA or ARC
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Minimum two years of recent full-time ICU experience required
• Recent travel nursing experience required
• SICU, MICU, and Trauma experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Degree must be from an accredited nursing school or an institution approved by the Florida Board of Nursing
• Candidates with non-accredited degrees must have two years of recent, consecutive acute care experience in a US hospital within the past 24 months
• Candidates from Operation Nightingale Schools not accepted
• Must pass a Florida AHCA Level 2 background screening, including fingerprint-based state and federal criminal history checks

• Provide critical care nursing services within the MICU
• Smoke-free facility
• Must complete lab work within 72 hours of signing
• Pass/fail EKG and basic arrhythmia competency testing required
• Must achieve 100% on lethal rhythm section and 83% or higher on all other sections if a retake is required
• Accepts local candidates within a 60-mile radius at a lower pay rate
• Former permanent employees must be separated from the facility for at least one year before returning as a traveler
