ALL ABOUT GENERAL MERCHANDISE – Experts of store process and efficiency who enable a consistent experience for our guests by ensuring product is set, in-stock, accurately priced and signed on the sales floor. The General Merchandise and Food Sales team leads inbound, outbound, replenishment, and promotional signing processes for all General Merchandise (GM) areas of the store. This team conducts inventory accuracy, merchandise set-up and maintenance and pricing processes for all areas of the store.

Experts enable efficient delivery to our guests by supporting pick, pack and ship fulfillment work.

• Knowledge of guest service fundamentals and experience supporting a guest first culture across the store
• Experience in retail business fundamentals including: department sales trends, inventory replenishment, and process efficiency and improvement
• Experience executing daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver on sales goals

• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete your daily tasks.
• Engage with guests to help solve their specific needs when assistance is requested.
• Thank guests and acknowledge their choice to shop at Target.
• Execute daily tasks assigned by your leader to achieve goals aligned with business priorities, including receiving products, restocking shelves, organizing the backroom, arranging merchandise, and putting up promotional signs for GM areas.
• If certified, operate power equipment to move merchandise or store fixtures.
• Execute processes including changing prices, merchandise setup and maintenance, and inventory accuracy as directed by your leader for all areas.
• Learn how operational procedures affect inventory management, store profitability, and product availability.
• Be knowledgeable about resources, products, and services available in the total store and in your area to solve issues and improve the guest experience.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.
• Work in a safe manner at all times; comply with safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier and digital fulfillment processes (e.g., picking and packing orders or delivering pickup orders) and maintain compliance with laws and policies.
• Other duties as needed based on business needs.

• Climb ladders; lift/move merchandise up to 44 pounds with or without assistance
• Drive continuous mobility during scheduled shift; exposure to varying temperatures and conditions
• Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, holidays) with reliable attendance
