Base pay: $35,000 - $49,000 per year.

• Maintaining control of access to Publix facilities by associates, guests, and other non‑facility personnel.
• Providing access control, routing, and shipping/receiving processing for product/equipment deliveries.
• Conducting personal observations of activities within the facility and reporting incidents or procedural deficiencies that are identified.
• Maintaining accurate security related records and documentation to include any/all activity that occurs, outside normal business.
• Communicating information to security supervisors, associates, or facility management.
• Completing other security duties as assigned.

• At least 20 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Class D Security Officer’s License or ability to obtain the license within 90 days of hire.
• Able to withstand walking and standing for long periods of time.
• Able to work any shift, including days, nights, late nights, early mornings, weekends and holidays.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to perform mathematical computations.
• Excellent telephone communication skills.
• Able to use a two‑way radio.
• Adaptable to varying circumstances or ambiguous situations.
• Capable of working effectively without close supervision.
• Capable of setting priorities, planning and coordinating work activities, scheduling staff, and managing resources to meet objectives on time and within budget.

Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus equals 15 hours of pay; in the second year it equals one week’s pay (if employed through the issue date). In subsequent years it equals two weeks’ pay.
